This Privacy Policy explains how the Budgetie mobile application ("Budgetie", "the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. By creating an account and using Budgetie, you agree to the practices described below.
When you register or sign in, we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Your password is managed and stored by Firebase using industry-standard hashing; we do not have access to your plaintext password.

If you choose to attach a receipt to a transaction, Budgetie accesses your device camera or photo library (only when you initiate it) to capture or select an image. The receipt image is uploaded to our cloud storage and linked to the corresponding transaction. This feature is entirely optional.
